On Jan. 23, 2015 the company marked its official anniversary with celebrations for more than 1,000 employees at nine locations around the globe. Based in Bryan, Ohio where it was founded, ARO has successfully maintained its reputation as the global leader in reliable pumps and fluid management solutions since its inception in 1930.

“As we celebrate ARO’s 85th anniversary, we return to the legacy of ARO and what it stands for – reliability and trust. 2014 Toys for Tots Holiday Party

Toys-for-TotsThe holiday season was made a little brighter this year when the Burt Process team hosted a Toys for Tots holiday party. Over $1,000 in toys and donations were raised and donated to children in need. It warmed the souls of the givers and the recipients to bring joy to so many happy children for the 2014 holiday season. Plans are already in place to continue this wonderful event this coming year and for years to come!

Burt Process Equipment Expands for Third Time in Hamden

On September 16th, Burt Process Equipment held an open house and ribbon-cutting ceremony at their newly expanded, 45,000 square foot manufacturing facility located at 100 Overlook Drive.

Burt Process Equipment is a worldwide leader in the design, manufacturing, and distribution of high purity and corrosion resistant equipment, systems and services. Burt Process Equipment serves many industries including pharmaceutical, biotechnology, microelectronics, metal finishing, and chemical processing.

In an effort to be more energy efficient, the company also recently completed the largest solar array, at 9,000 square feet, located on a business in Hamden. This array not only saves the company money, but also reduces their carbon footprint. Since January of 2014, the solar project at Burt Process Equipment has saved the consumption of over 9,000 gallons of gasoline.

The Town of Hamden played an important role in the most recent expansion of Burt Process Equipment by offering several business incentives, such as a multi-year tax abatement, a grant, and a waiver of building permit fees. The Town also supported their efforts to install their impressive array of solar panels.

Burt Process Equipment is one of Hamden’s most successful manufacturing companies and the Town of Hamden looks forward to its continued partnership with this exceptional company. Georg Fischer Distributor Partnership Meeting

Sue Burt, MarCom and GF Product Manager for Burt Process, participated in the Georg Fischer Partnership Meeting which was held in Newport Beach, CA from Oct 8-9. Representatives from 15 of the top GF Distributors in the U.S. were invited to collaborate for improved partnership and future business development.

The first morning, Pietro Lori, President of GF Piping Systems, Nick Mills, Head of GF Piping Systems Industrial, and James Jackson, Head of Business Unit Americas, gave presentations on the state of the GF business. Later in the day, keynote speaker, Mark Tomalonis, addressed the group with valuable information regarding slow moving inventory, offering some proven methods. The day concluded with worthwhile discussions on US Industrial markets with Max Holloway.

Thursday’s meeting was packed full of great presentations and discussions on target market segments, Water Treatment and Cooling. Specific solutions developed by GF and success stories provided concrete data to capture opportunities in these markets. On the last evening, Georg Fischer Irvine hosted an impressive showcase of their newly opened facility. The Open House included a memorable ribbon cutting ceremony, tour and reception. It was clear to all who attended, that GF is a successful and progressive organization ready to grow with their partners in distribution.

ASPE 2014 Chicago Expo

Burt Process Equipment exhibited at the 2014 ASPE Chicago Exposition from September 22 through September 23, 2014. Technical staff was available at the booth to review our engineered water systems, answering any questions attendees may have had. In addition to exhibiting, Burt Process was leading one of the twenty-five technical sessions during the convention. Our own Mark Girgenti spoke on pH Adjustment at the 2014 ASPE Chicago Convention & Exposition. He did an outstanding job! Burt Process Equipment proudly hosted over 150 employees, customers and business partners at our 20th Annual Golf Tournament on June 20, 2014. We enjoyed a fantastic day of sunshine and fundraising at beautiful Lyman Orchards Golf Club and raised $5,000 for the Connecticut Children’s Medical Center!

AWWA ACE 2014 Conference & Expo

Burt Process Equipment exhibited at the AWWA Annual Conference and Exposition from June 9 -June 11 at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center in Boston, MA. Our ChemPlus chemical feed system and PolymerPlus polymer feed system were both showcased along with our vendor partners’ products including ARO Diaphragm Pumps, Blacoh Pulsation Dampeners, Flowline Level Sensors, Pulsatron Metering Pumps, Peabody Storage Tanks, Finish Thompson Pumps, Signet Instrumentation and much more. Prizes were given away to booth visitors. There was also free beer and wine to those who attended our in-booth training sessions. Burt Process Equipment would like to thank everyone who visited us during the AWWA Annual Conference and Exposition. The show was a great success!
