Sue Burt, MarCom and GF Product Manager for Burt Process, participated in the Georg Fischer Partnership Meeting which was held in Newport Beach, CA from Oct 8-9. Representatives from 15 of the top GF Distributors in the U.S. were invited to collaborate for improved partnership and future business development.
The first morning, Pietro Lori, President of GF Piping Systems, Nick Mills, Head of GF Piping Systems Industrial, and James Jackson, Head of Business Unit Americas, gave presentations on the state of the GF business. Later in the day, keynote speaker, Mark Tomalonis, addressed the group with valuable information regarding slow moving inventory, offering some proven methods. The day concluded with worthwhile discussions on US Industrial markets with Max Holloway.
Thursday’s meeting was packed full of great presentations and discussions on target market segments, Water Treatment and Cooling. Specific solutions developed by GF and success stories provided concrete data to capture opportunities in these markets. On the last evening, Georg Fischer Irvine hosted an impressive showcase of their newly opened facility. The Open House included a memorable ribbon cutting ceremony, tour and reception. It was clear to all who attended, that GF is a successful and progressive organization ready to grow with their partners in distribution.
